1814 的驅動應該沒問題....
IBM 好像不錯, 用料也好, 不過現在laptop有沒有 7200轉 的硬盤? 有就最好了, 表現會好多..
下面是一位 sawer 測試過的...
IBM Lenovo R61i custom configured:
2.0 G Core 2 Duo
2 G DDR2 667 RAM
160 G SATA II HD
Firewire
DVD-RW
I have tested SAWStudio and SAC with:
M'Audio Profire Lightbridge / Profire 2626 / FW 1814 / Fast Track Pro (USB)
and JamLab (USB) all work flawless with a few of Bobs tweaks and custom
profiles.
I also have a 5 year old HP with firewire / 2.4 G P4 / 1G Ram / 80 G HD and
it still does a respectable job of using all the above.

I have to chime in with Steve here, I use Maudio 410 and 1814 and can run 1x64 on my desktop if I want, 2 or3x64 is very good on my Sager laptop. For the money they can't be beat.

I would highly recommend not using anything Tascam that requires drivers... save your money and buy a better interface.
