HOW TO LISTEN
Dynamic Range Radio broadcasts in high quality mp3 format, so you'll need a broadband internet connection and a media player like Winamp, iTunes, Windows Media Player, Real Player, VLC, or a stand-alone internet radio like the Roku Soundbridge. If you have one of those installed, just click on one of the links under "Listen Now" in the sidebar.
WHAT DOES ECLECTIC MEAN?
Merriam-Webster defines eclectic as "selecting what appears to be best in various doctrines, methods, or styles."
I play whatever sounds good to me, whether it be rock, alternative, reggae, soul, Celtic, Americana, blues, folk, electronica, soundtracks, jazz, or any other genre you can think of. I play new music and old music. Hard music and soft music. Happy music and sad music. Popular music and obscure music. In a nutshell, I play music that I like. As far as I'm concerned, all other labels are meaningless.
SOUND QUALITY
Dynamic Range Radio is one of the few radio stations, internet or otherwise, that adds no extra compression to its audio signal. To learn more about what this means and why I think Dynamic Range Radio offers the best sound quality available anywhere, follow this link.

Dynamic Range Radio is owned and operated by one man with a passion for music and an independent spirit. There's no deep-pocketed, black-hearted corporation behind this. Only me.
SPREAD THE WORD
As Dynamic Range Radio nears the end of its beta testing phase, I wanted to stress how important it is for listeners to recommend this station to a friend if you like what you hear. Word of mouth is by far the most important form of advertising, and one of the few I can afford. So if you have a blog, a link would be greatly appreciated, as would recommendations posted in forums on other websites. In the future, I'll be providing banners you can use for linking purposes as well as flyers you can print and post in your community. People who participate in the street team will receive access to full listener benefits once they're launched.
BENEFITS FOR SUBSCRIBING LISTENERS
At the moment, Dynamic Range Radio is free for everyone to listen to, but it won't always be that way. I want Dynamic Range Radio to be more than just a hobby, which is why I'll need to earn a decent income in order to make the station all it can be. It's better for me and it's better for the listeners.
At some point in the next few months, the 128k stereo stream will be reserved for subscribing listeners only. The 64K mono stream will be free for everyone to enjoy, but those who set up a recurring donation will receive guaranteed access to 128k stereo sound.
Anyone who makes a donation prior to the station's official launch will receive one free month of access to the 128k stream once premium services are in place.
ADVERTISING
Because Dynamic Range Radio is based on a subscription model, I'm able to offer commercial-free music to my listeners, and I hope to always keep it that way. However, advertising on the website is an important revenue stream, which is why Google ads are already in place, as well as links for recommended affiliates like Wolfgang's Vault, Dell Canada, and Amazon. Two things I'll never allow are annoying pop-up ads or flash animation.
