* DESCRIPTION
SawVstIniTool automatically creates properly formatted .INI file redirectors
for SAW Studio. Usage of these redirectors allows SAW STudio to reference VST
plugins anywhere on the hard drive rather than having to copy files directly to
SAW STudio. This tool will support selection of multiple VST source folders
and one SAW Studio VST output path. All source folders and subfolders are scanned
and the associated .ini files are created and written to the selected output location.
Optionally, a Windows Explorer window will open focused to the target location.
If an .ini file with the same name previously exists, the file will be overwritten
with updated path information. Existing .ini files from previous runs are not
deleted. All paths are saved on program exit, simplifying updates when new
VST libraries are installed.
* ADVANCED
VST plugins that one would like to be excluded from processing can be filtered
out using the "ExcludeList" key in the application configuration file found
in the installation folder. (SAWVSTIniTool.exe.config). By default any files
containing the strings "WaveShell" or "mda" are already configured to be
excluded. This list can be expanded by adding additional comma-delimited
filter strings. Note, this file is in XML format and must be edited with care,
saving ONLY in simple ASCII test format. If the file is saved incorrectly, the
application may fail during launch. Be sure to use only a simple ASCII editor
(Notepad, Syn, XMLNotepad, etc.) when editing this file. Saving into a format
other than ASCII text will render the file unusable.

* INSTALLATION PRE-REQUISITES AND DISCLAIMERS
The Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is required prior to installing the SAWVstIniTool.
The .NET Framework may be downloaded from Microsoft either directly:

or via Windows Update: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
Please note: This software was officially tested on Windows XP SP1 and SP2. Usage
on other Windows versions could result in unexpected program behavior.
This application will only be use useful for versions of SAW Studio that support
VST .ini file redirectors. Usage of SawVstIniTool with prior versions of SAW Studio
that do not support this feature is not recommended.

* INSTALLATION
- Run the Setup.msi installer program.
- Select the install location and follow the setup instructions.

* UNINSTALLING
- When the SAWVstIniTool is installed, a standard entry is made in the Windows
Add/Remove programs control panel. To uninstall, simply locate and select
the application in the list and click "Remove."
