前段时间发帖询问次声卡产生爆音和reason停止工作的问题无果,遍发邮件给他们公司,公司的意思是,使用外接音频接口会增加电脑负担.我电脑是比较老,ibook g4 1.42ghz 1.5g 内存,可能是跑不动ableton这些软件,但是我希望的是外接声卡可以大大减轻cpu的负担,实际使用没看出太大区别.还有一个问题,说明书上说,在使用音频软件时,火线驱动会显示为"IN USE"而不是"CONNECTED", 但是我开什么音频软件都是CONNECTED. 不知道怎么设置为IN USE.

The audio still needs to be processed within your computer to be sent to the external soundcard, and running another peripheral will always increase the strain on your computer slightly. As such, running an audio interface will typically use more of the computer's resources than not doing so.
The FireWire driver should be set to "In Use" when the driver is being used by your audio software, however I'm not convinced that this is contributing to the problems you're having.
Please can you try disabling all of the following services (where applicable) as I outlined in my previous email, and let me know if this makes any difference.
- Airport (Apple>System Preferences>Network)
- Spotlight (System Preferences>Spotlight)
- Bluetooth (System Preferences>Bluetooth)
- Any other internet/network connections (Network preferences again)
- Any anti-virus/anti-spyware software
- Any energy saving/sleep modes, and screen savers (System Preferences>Energy Saver)

说的是声音还是经过cpu到外接声卡,外设会增加电脑负担,使用外接声卡会比不使用更耗费资源.
火线驱动要设置为 IN USE.
我找不到那里可以设置IN USE,然后我把电脑什么无线,蓝牙都关里,在开ableton, 是比以前好一点.
所以外接声卡是不是能减轻cpu负担是在让我困惑
