How to record VSTi output as audio
1、Record/program your VSTi MIDI sequence as normal.
2、Place the left and right locators around the section you want to record as audio.
3、Mute all other tracks that you don't want included in the audio file.
(If you've recorded any SysEx automation tracks remember to keep them unmuted if you want those knob tweaks recorded too, which I guess you do)
4、Open the VST Master Mixer and click the button.
5、Type the name you want for the audio file and change any options you need to. Click 'Create File'.
(Make sure you choose the correct sample rate here as choosing one different to that of the song will result in a file that plays back at the wrong speed and pitch. For example if you are using a SB Live! you should choose 48,000kHz)
6、Cubase will then process the data and a new Audio Track will be created called 'MixDown' containing an audio version of the VSTi sequence you just exported
