Windows does not recognize my Traveler when updating the ROM Follow these instructions to properly update the ROM on a Traveler in Windows.
1 Download the driver archive from our website, and unzip it to your Desktop.
2 Run the installer (SETUP.EXE) again, and proceed with a normal install.
3 Restart as prompted (do not throw out the folder containing the installer).
4 While rebooting, make sure the Traveler is powered up.
5 After Windows has booted, open the FireWire Console to confirm that the Traveler is online.
6 Run the Updater Applet 1.03; you'll get the prompt to power the unit with the Cursor knob down.
7 Leaving the applet running, power cycle the Traveler while holding the Cursor knob down.
8 If you encounter the New Hardware Wizard, click OK to pass through the screens.
9 If the Wizard doesn't automatically load the driver, press the Browse Button, and navigate to the desktop folder containing the installer (SETUP.EXE). As the driver resides in this location, the Wizard should complete driver loading.
10 The Update Applet should then update with the "Update Now" button.
