Custom Shop Richie Sambora Gold relic Stratocaster made by Todd Krause at the fender custom shop in Corona California. There are only two of these is the world, one is Richie’s and one is mine. For the 2000 crush Bon Jovi tour Richie had Todd make him a few relic custom shop strats and the gold one was used on that tour. Once I saw this is called Todd and had the exact one made for myself and as a birthday present to me that year he had Richie come and sign the headstock for us. When Richie was with fender the guitars he played were not the production model signature strat that you were able to buy at Sam Ash. His were all custom shop’s, each one unique in its own way. The gold sambora production model wasn’t even a USA production model; it was a Fender Japan model and was pure crap. No other way to put it sorry! The picture is of Todd at the custom shop showing the guitar to visitors. This particular one cost me $6,650, yes I have the tags with the price still, and that was before it was professionally setup and singed by Richie himself. I have been told by 3 appraisers that this could go for over $10,000 at a live rock and roll memorabilia auction. This guitar was ordered just as Richie had his in Aztec gold that was put in the freezer by Todd to crack the paint at Richie’s request for the aged or relic look. A few things unique to this guitar as follows: Graphtech Saddles Mother of pearl “small” star inlays Highly figured flamed maple neck 1 Dimarzio humbucker pickup 2 Seymour Duncan hot rail pickups Active electronics Serial TK 364 (one of only 2 in the world) Manufacture Date: 12-08-03
This guitar has never left my home since it was shipped to me from fender. Why am I selling you may ask? (Totally depressed as I write this) Well I started a few new businesses and let’s just say things aren’t working out as I planned and uncle Sam ( heck I never knew I had an uncle sam) wants much more then we accounted for. This is breaking my heart selling the most collectable and amazing playing instrument ever in my possession and considering Sambora is the reason I play guitar today I feel like the biggest traitor in the world and I can only hope Richie sees this and hooks up his biggest fan in the world so I do not have to sell this. I would think you can find a way to remove my name from the headstock but if your name happens to be Darren as well you sure got lucky here! (Darren in England or Hawaii I hope you want this one BTW and I lost your email so I need to list this) Richie shown here playing the only other one made by Todd Krause in exsistance
This is not a joke; if you think you can prove to me that this is not everything I say it is I will give you your money back + $1,000USD. The pictures will now speak for themselves. Paypal or bank wire only. Will ship anywhere in the world. Notice the highly figured flamed neck and the detail in the relic'd paint job, Richie even said he liked this one better they told me Vintage Tremelo bar has never been put on and it is still in plastic covering in the Relic Tweed Custom Case...as Richie's tech Lumpy found the graphtech saddles really keep the guitar in tune nicely.
Here is the guitar being assembled at the Fender Custom Shop in Corona by the master Todd himself after Richie signed the neck for us. See more pictures below and contact me through ebay any offers or questions.
This guitar has never left my home since it was purchased
Notice the neck Todd used on this one is more figured and flamed then the one he gave Richie!!!! Yep he made this one a little nicer!
