Scarlet MHE-400 is the second of the Acustica “Homebrew” series: a line of plug-in sampled from hardware directly build by Acustica and based on the circuit diagrams of legendary vintage devices.
Scarlet is also the first Acustica stereo mastering equalizer.
Scarlet is practically identical to the original hardware as far as frequency curves (for certain aspects, it's even better). What's different here is the preamp color. Scarlet's pre is extremely clean and transparent, but if you're looking for the sound of an ancient counterpart equipped with its custom discrete op-amps, then you'd better wait for the original hardware based Acqua release later on.

I used LME49710 opamps, metal can, except for one, where a FET-input opamp was needed (in the S*n**c 250 they used a TL071 in that place, go figure).
I found them really good sounding, with a great balance between speed/accuracy and warmth.
I noted that this circuit is really demanding for the active components. For instance, it's very sensitive to any noise/ripple in DC supply, and in certain conditions the opamps have to drive heavy loads at relatively high currents.
The LMEs are specially good at this, and they've always showed a THD much lower than the average.
It's easy to understand how, back in the 80's, such ICs were pure unobtanium, hence the discrete modules in the 432...

好消息, SCARLET 將會有 大的界面提供......
I confirm: we'll release also a new skin - bigger one, like we did for magenta mastering pack. So all numbers will be visible. It is not possible to print numbers using a bigger font in our actual skin, due to future nebula4 restrictions, and the skin is very crowded. But no issues for getting a bigger skin you could use in replacement of the current one.

建議去找一個 vstplugin analyzer 的東西, 加載看看便一目了然, 不過只有pc版和x32 版本..
